The mid to high range frequencies produced by the K-Box is done so through a traditional speaker built into its case. Giving it even more convenience when travelling with it, the K-Box is integrated with a rechargable battery which offers music for up to 20 hours. The speaker can be easily recharged through any available USB port.

As long as a device has a headphone jack it can be plugged into the K-Box. This makes the speaker a great solution for portable music and video players. Naturally, the speaker’s ability to recharge through a USB port makes it a natural for use with a laptop computer if you want to get rich, deep bass sound that is not typically offered through built-in laptop speakers.

The K-Box easily fits into the palm of your hand and has some nice rubber grips which surrounds the four sides of the speaker. You can’t help, but notice the special gel on the bottom of the speaker when you first pick it up. It’s probably the first real indication to anyone picking it up that it offers something which is really unique.

The K-Box retails for US$74.50 and ships with two cables including a male-to-male headphone jack cable and a USB charging cable. Also included, is a sturdy fabric case to protect the speaker while carrying it in a bag. That’s not a bad idea since I’m sure the gel’s ability to transfer vibrations will degrade as the bottom of the speaker becomes dirtier.
